What data is collected
Server logs
Like any website, the server automatically records some technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) for security and technical operation purposes. This data is not used to profile visitors.
Technical cookies
This site uses only technical cookies, necessary for the site to work properly:
- a WordPress session cookie, used only when logging into the administration area;
- a cookie that stores the chosen language (Italian/English), managed by the Polylang plugin, so the site is shown in your preferred language on your next visit.
This site does not use profiling cookies, third-party advertising cookies, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or CAPTCHA systems (such as reCAPTCHA) that involve non-technical cookies. Since only technical cookies are used, under the guidance of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) and the EU ePrivacy framework, a cookie consent banner is not required — only this notice.
Should analytics or marketing tools be added in the future, this notice will be updated accordingly and, if necessary, a consent banner will be introduced.
Comments
If you leave a comment on the site, the data entered in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, is collected to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
